Makes 8 jars-if they are going to be different scents and fragrances, adjust the fragrance and pigment accordingly. The following recipe makes 8 jars that are the same color and fragrance, but this is easy to change. Just divide your base mix into 8 sections and color and scent from there! You can order the jars and lids online.
INGREDIENTS:
10 oz clear MP soap base 35 oz white granulated sugar 16 oz whipped body wash 1 fl. oz of fragrance oil - adjust to your desired scent 1 tsp of mica pigment or matte pigment - adjust to your desired color 1 oz glycerin 8 Jars (8 oz Clear Heavy Wall Plastic Jar - 89/400) 8 lids (89/400 Black Ribbed Top Cap - F217 Liner)
Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool. Directions:
- Add cut-up M&P soap to measuring cup.
- Heat soap in microwave in 30 second intervals until fully melted.
- Pour soap into stand mixer bowl.
- Add glycerin and mix with stand mixer on low.
- Stop mixer and add whipped body wash. Mix on low.
- Turn speed to high for 1-2 minutes. (Mixture will become creamy and look like marshmallow cream.)
- Turn speed to low-medium and slowly add your sugar.
- Using a whisk, blend powder color with glycerin until well blended. Add to mixing bowl along with fragrance oil. When fully blended, stop mixer.
- Fill your jars
- Name and label-you can handwrite your labels, if you like
